Vodacom faces DRC dissolution

The future of Vodacom's joint venture in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) will be on the line tomorrow as a meeting of Vodacom Congo shareholders could decide whether a bitter quarrel can be patched up or whether the company should be sold or dissolved.

Probe into shooting of South African diplomat in DR Congo

Second Secretary Maryse Ash was shot and wounded at about 2am on Friday as she drove along Avenue Roi Baudouin which leads to the office of the president, known as Palais de la Nation.
